The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Rear Admiral Godwin Livinus Bessing, has strengthened ties with members of the Defence Advisors/Attachés Association of Ghana (DAAG) during a dinner held on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, at the Anchor House, Cantonments. The event brought together Defence Advisors and Attachés from various countries to promote collaboration and deepen mutual understanding among defence missions in Ghana.
The CNS commended the vital role of Defence Advisors and Attachés in fostering cooperation between the Ghana Armed Forces and the international community. He lauded their contributions toward peace, stability, and security across the subregion and expressed appreciation to the Dean of DAAG for his leadership in advancing military diplomacy.
The Dean of DAAG, Brigadier General Derek Mwendaofyo of Zambia, thanked the CNS for hosting the dinner, emphasising that such engagements strengthen defence and security cooperation through dialogue, partnership, and mutual respect. He encouraged members to remain committed to promoting peace and regional stability.
The special Guest for the occasion was the Defence Advisor of Pakistan to Nigeria, Colonel Kamran Mushtaq, whose participation highlighted the spirit of international camaraderie. The evening featured cultural exchanges, interactive sessions, and the presentation of tokens symbolising shared values and continued cooperation among the defence community in Ghana.
