The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) launched a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign at the Junior Rates’ Mess, Tema, on 7 October 2025, under the theme “Education on Breast Cancer – Detect, Treat, and Defeat.” the Commanding Officer, Naval Base Tema, Commander Wendell Fiifi Owusu, representing the Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Naval Command, Commodore Solomon Asiedu-Larbi, urged both men and women to prioritise regular screening. 
Additionally, Dr Manuella Ziwu and Mrs Jacqueline Oduro Akoto also educated participants on prevention, treatment, and emotional support as part of the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities.
