The exercise formed part of the Command's routine physical training programme and was aimed at assessing and improving the physical fitness, endurance, resilience, and combat readiness of personnel. It also sought to reinforce discipline, teamwork, and the high physical standards required for effective military operations.
The route march, led by the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) of NAVTRAC, Commodore James Adongo Agambire, commenced at the Lower Volta Bridge at Sokpoe, proceeded through the principal streets of Sogakope to the Dabala Junction, continued through the Dabala Township, and concluded at the Dabala Police Station. Throughout the exercise, personnel maintained military formation, discipline, and the required pace while demonstrating endurance and teamwork.
Speaking after the exercise, Cdre Agambire commended personnel for their determination and resilience, noting that physical fitness remains an indispensable component of military professionalism and operational effectiveness. He encouraged personnel to maintain a culture of regular physical training and healthy living, stressing that a physically fit force is better prepared to respond to the demands of military operations.
The Combat Fitness Test forms part of NAVTRAC's continuous efforts to enhance the operational preparedness of personnel and ensure they meet the physical fitness standards of the Ghana Armed Forces.
